In a heart-wrenching incident, a 14-year-old schoolgirl from Karnataka took her own life after allegedly facing harassment from a teacher who suspected her of stealing ₹2,000. The family of the girl has lodged a police complaint, attributing her tragic decision to the distress caused by the events at her school.

Class 8 Student Accused of Theft, Commits Suicide. The teacher, identified as Jayashree Mishrikoti, along with the headmaster KH Mujawar of Bagalkot’s government high school, has been accused of subjecting the girl to harassment. This mistreatment reportedly began when Jayashree suspected the student of stealing ₹2,000 from her wallet and threatened expulsion if found guilty.

While there are claims of the girl being strip-searched, the police are yet to find concrete evidence supporting this allegation. The distressing incident came to light only after the victim’s sister disclosed it to their parents following the funeral.

The girl’s lifeless body was discovered on March 16, with reports indicating that she had hanged herself on March 15 when her parents were away.

The investigation into this tragic case is ongoing, as authorities work to uncover the truth behind the events leading to the untimely demise of the young student.
