Kashi Vishwanath Temple Police Embrace Dhoti-Kurta as New Official Attire

In a bid to foster a more devotee-friendly environment, police personnel at Varanasi’s Kashi Vishwanath Temple are set to trade their traditional khaki uniforms for the iconic dhoti-kurta ensemble.

To make visitors feel more comfortable, the police at Varanasi’s Kashi Vishwanath Temple will now wear dhoti-kurta instead of their usual khaki uniforms.

Men will wear dhoti and a shawl, while women will wear salwar kurta, according to temple leaders.

The police will also get training to talk nicely to visitors.

This change aims to make visitors feel better and avoid problems with police uniforms.

The police will also use ropes instead of touching people to control crowds.

The Commissioner of Police, Mohit Agrawal, said they want to improve the image of police and make sure visitors have a good time.

Instead of pushing people during VIP visits, police will use ropes to guide them.

Even though fewer people have been coming since the temple was fixed, some people still complain about how police treat them.
