Kerala: 2 men, out for morning walk, die after being hit by car

Kerala: On Monday, Two senior citizens, who were out for a morning walk near Peroorkada in Andhra Pradesh, were reportedly killed by a car carrying Sabarimala pilgrims. Police said the two men, who were also good friends, were returning on foot and probably did not see the car coming from behind.

Kerala: On Monday, Two senior citizens, who were out for a morning walk near Peroorkada in Andhra Pradesh, were reportedly killed by a car carrying Sabarimala pilgrims.

Police said the two men, who were also good friends, were returning on foot and probably did not see the car coming from behind.

He told that the incident happened at around 7.30 in the morning. It said the Sabarimala pilgrims were returning to their home state after visiting the Sri Padmanabha Swamy temple here.

Five people, including a child, were traveling in the car, which reportedly crashed into a tree after hitting two morning walkers.

He said that the two morning walkers, both aged 69, were thrown several meters due to the impact and could not be seen from the road.

By the time people who were taking a morning walk realized that they had been hit by the car and searched for them, both of them were dead.

The child traveling in the car was also injured in the accident and is admitted to the hospital. Police said two people have been detained and a case of rash and negligent driving has been registered.
