Kerala: The police said that a man died after falling from a moving train bound for Thiruvananthapuram of Kerala on Friday. He was 25-year-old. The man identified as Deepak George Varkey.

Kerala: The police said that a man died after falling from a moving train bound for Thiruvananthapuram of Kerala on Friday. He was 25-year-old. The man identified as Deepak George Varkey.

The police said that the tragic incident took place when he was returning from Pune after completing a hotel management course and was trying to deboard the train at Kottayam station after retrieving his forgotten spectacles.

Giving details about this incident police said, he had brought all his luggage out of the train onto the platform when he realized that he had forgotten his glasses. He went back to the train, but by then it had left.

Police added that while trying to get down quickly, he slipped under the train and died. The incident came to light when friends of Deepak George Varkey, who were waiting to welcome him at the Kottayam railway station, could not find him.

According to the information, They then went to the next station, Changanassery, but there too no trace of him was found and they moved towards the next Tiruvalla railway station. Despite attempts to contact Deepak George Varkey over phone, there was no response.

It was only after informing the Railway Police Station that they came to know that Deepak George Varkey had met with an accident at Kottayam Railway Station. According to the police information, the young man was a resident of Puthupalli.
