China: On Monday, a madman attacked a kindergarten school in China’s Guangdong province with a knife. Six people, including three children, have died in the attack. The police reached the information and arrested the accused. However, the reason for the attack is not yet clear.
According to a media report, the incident took place at a play group school in China’s southeastern Guangdong province. Lianjiang county police have told that the case is a deliberate attack. A 25-year-old man was arrested. Media reports said that a teacher, two parents and three students were among the dead. One has also been injured.
The attack on the school occurred at 7:40 am (local time), while the police apprehended the suspect a few minutes later. The police have been involved in the investigation of the case. Local police officials say that the accused is being interrogated.
According to the information, citizens in China are strictly banned from keeping arms (guns). After this, incidents of stabbing have increased in recent years. Deadly attacks specifically targeting schools have been reported across the country, prompting authorities to step up security around schools.
