Less than 2 weeks before Ex-Zimbabwe cricketer death rumors circulated everywhere due to a false tweet after which top legendary cricketers started expressing their condolences. However, his wife Nadine Streak now confirms his death in a social media post on facebook. Heath Streak has passed away aged 49 during early hours of Sunday, September 3 after battling cancer.

New Delhi: In the early hours of Sunday, On sept 3, 49-year-old Ex-Zimbabwe cricketer Heath Streak dies after battling with cancer for a long time. Earlier, 11 Days before Ex-Zimbabwe cricketer death rumors circulated everywhere due to a false tweet after which top legendary cricketers started expressing their condolences. However, ex-captain’s wife Nadine confirms his death in a social media post on facebook.

After rumors, Today Legendary captain’s wife Nadine wrote on social media, “In the early hours of this morning, Sunday the 3rd of September 2023, the greatest love of my life and the father of my beautiful children, was carried to be with the Angels from his home where he wished to spend his last days surrounded by his family and closest loved ones. He was covered in love and peace and did not walk off the Park alone. Our souls are joined for eternity Streaky. Till I hold you again.”

Death rumors of ex-cricketer was shared on 23 August. Actually, Henry Olonga, who played cricket with him, shared the news of Heath Streak death on his X account. However, shortly after, Olonga apologized, calling the news of the death of the former veteran player fake. Heath Streak had also expressed his displeasure about this.

Streak, who was battling liver cancer for a long time, was one of the most decorated cricketers of his time, who entered the international cricket pitch in 2005. He played the first match of his international career against New Zealand. During his career, the former Zimbabwe fast bowler played a total of 65 Test matches and took 216 wickets during this period. Streak achieved the feat of taking five wickets in an innings 7 times in Test cricket. At the same time, Heath Streak performance in ODI cricket was so phenomenal that he took 239 wickets in 189 matches.
