New Delhi: On Tuesday, Actor and TV personality Shekhar Suman joined the BJP in the presence of BJP National Secretary Vinod Tawde at its Delhi party headquarters. This news has come to light at a time when voting for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 has begun in the country.
However, it is still not clear whether Suman will contest elections in the future or not. Today, In the presence of senior BJP leaders, including National General Secretary Vinod Tawde and National Media Department in-charge Anil Baluni, at the party headquarters, addressing the media Mr Suman said he did not know till yesterday that he would take this step and thanked God for ordering him to do so.
Actor and TV personality Shekhar Suman, who was recently seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Heeramandi’, said, “Till yesterday, I did not know that I would be sitting here today because many things in life happen knowingly or unknowingly. I have come here with a very positive thinking and I would like to thank God that he ordered me to come here.”
After joining BJP he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP chief JP Nadda, among others. He added,”You have to follow what Lord Ram has thought. I don’t have any negative thoughts, I am only thinking about the country. A man relies on his words but they don’t mean anything beyond a point. But there is a difference between saying something and doing it. I can give a long speech but it will mean something only if I do something.”
