Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Mandi Set for Epic Battle Between ‘Raja’ Vikramaditya Singh and ‘Queen’ Kangana Ranaut

In a dramatic turn of events, Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh is gearing up for a high-stakes showdown in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. With Congress strategizing to field Vikramaditya Singh, son of Pratibha Singh, against BJP’s Kangana Ranaut, the political landscape is abuzz with anticipation.

‘Raja’ Vikramaditya Singh and ‘Queen’ Kangana Ranaut

‘Raja’ Vikramaditya Singh and ‘Queen’ Kangana Ranaut. In the last election in 2019, the BJP won all four seats in Himachal Pradesh. But in 2021, Pratibha Singh from Congress won in Mandi after Ram Swaroop Sharma, the MP before her, passed away.

Now, sources say Congress wants Vikramaditya Singh to run against Kangana Ranaut from the BJP in Mandi. They think he can give her a tough fight.

Recently, Pratibha Singh, who is the Congress leader in Himachal Pradesh, and her son Vikramaditya Singh, who is a minister there, met with Sonia Gandhi, a big leader in Congress, in New Delhi. This made people think Vikramaditya might run in the election from Mandi.

But Vikramaditya is confused because he likes being a minister in Himachal Pradesh, and if he wins and goes to Delhi, his family wants an important role in Himachal Pradesh’s government.

If Vikramaditya runs from Mandi and wins, his seat as MLA in Shimla (Rural) should go to someone else in his family, say sources.

Pratibha Singh might also run in an assembly election, according to sources.

But the final decision will be made by Congress on April 11.

The election in Himachal Pradesh is on June 1, and results will be out on June 4.
