London Car Rally Extols Support for PM Modi in UK: Lok Sabha Elections Buzz

In a vibrant display of solidarity, the ‘Overseas Friends’ of BJP UK orchestrated a spirited car rally in London to showcase unwavering support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ruling party ahead of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Commencing from the Kutch Leva Patidar Samaj Complex in Northolt, the convoy culminated at the iconic BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Neaden.

Over 250 vehicles bedecked in enthusiasm joined the rally, amplifying the fervent backing for BJP and PM Modi in the upcoming electoral fray. Participants from the British Indian community waved Indian Tricolours and BJP flags, emblematic of their allegiance.

Noteworthy attendees included UK Parliamentarian and Padmashri awardee, Bob Blackman, who hailed the pivotal role of the Indian diaspora in shaping the future of their homeland. Blackman underscored the burgeoning ties between India and the UK, emphasizing collaborative efforts such as the ongoing negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement and the bolstered defense and security cooperation.

Touching upon the significance of the looming elections, Blackman dubbed it as a monumental exercise in democracy, predicting a resounding victory for BJP. He lauded India’s ascension as a dynamic economic powerhouse under BJP governance, stressing its positive ramifications for bilateral relations.

Furthermore, Blackman extolled British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, urging support for his re-election bid. He rallied for collective backing from the Indian community, asserting their pivotal role in parliamentary representation.

The ‘Overseas Friends of BJP’ UK, known for its proactive engagement, endeavors to foster camaraderie and bolster support for Bharatiya Janata Party within the Indian diaspora residing in the United Kingdom.

In a concurrent development, the Election Commission announced the phased schedule for the general elections, slated to commence on April 19 and culminate with the vote count on June 4. The electoral fervor resonated strongly within the diaspora, amplifying the anticipation and engagement ahead of the historic electoral event.
