Madhya Pradesh: 30-year-old man kills his brother with axe for turning off music at family function

Satna: On Sunday, police said that a man hacked his brother to death after the latter turned off the music and stopped him from dancing at a family function with an axe in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh.

Satna: On Sunday, police said that a 30-year-old man hacked his brother to death after the latter turned off the music and stopped him from dancing at a family function with an axe in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh.

An official said that the accused was identified 30-year-old Rajkumar Kol. The police have arrested the accused for the murder. This incident happened at Mauhar village under Kothi police station limits on Friday night.

In-charge of Kothi police station Rupendra Rajput said that 35-year-old Rakesh, the brother of Rajkumar had organised a function at his house, during which music was being played on a sound system,

He said that the victim later turned off the music, and the accused wanted to continue dancing. The official said that an argument ensued between the brothers, and in a fit of anger, Rajkumar allegedly attacked Rakesh with an axe and killed him on the spot.

About this incident, he said that the accused fled the scene and was later apprehended near a culvert where he was hiding. He added that the accused was placed under arrest, and the weapon used in the crime was seized.
