Madhya Pradesh: On Monday, police said that a 40-year-old man allegedly jumped into a dam with his three kids in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh following a family dispute. Receiving information about this incident, locals rushed were resuce and were able to save the man and his daughter, however, both the sons had died.

An official said that the incident took place on Sunday at Toran dam located on the Kunda river, about five km from the district headquarters. According to information, Shahzad, a resident of Sanjay Nagar Bilal Masjid, left his home with his three children, Faizal (7), Suhana (8), and Arhaan (4), around 4 PM.
The official added that Shahzad became the father of another girl about a week back. At approximately 5 PM, family members received the news that he had jumped into the Toran River located at Kunda river with his children.
The bodies of the two children are currently undergoing post-mortem examinations, while the police are conducting an investigation into the incident. Additional Superintendent of Police of Khargone Tarunendra Singh Baghel said prima facie, it seems the man tried to take the extreme step due to a family dispute. He added that further probe into the case is underway.
