Man dies after jumping in front of moving train at Delhi’s INA metro station; probe on

New Delhi: An official said that a man took his life by jumping in front of a metro at INA station of Delhi on Saturday night. The incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. The police said that a PCR call was received about a man jumping on the metro track.

New Delhi: An official said that a man took his life by jumping in front of a metro at INA station of Delhi on Saturday night. The incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media.

The police said that a PCR call was received about a man jumping on the metro track. He added commuters inside the station at the time were left stunned by what unfolded in front of their eyes within a fraction of seconds.

After receiving the call, police reached the spot and found that the man had jumped onto the metro track going towards Samaypur Badli on platform number 2 of the station. police said that he was found lying dead on the track.

About this incident, Ram Gopal Naik, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Metro) said that the body was shifted to the mortuary of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Republic World said.

The deceased was identified as Ajitej. He was around 30-year-old. He was a resident of Satya Niketan area of ​​the national capital. Police have started further investigation in the case under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).
