New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki has launched a new Tour S Edition of its sedan car Maruti Dzire in the Indian market. This is the taxi variant of Maruti Dzire, which was also available in the market earlier, but now it has been brought in a new avatar. The special thing is that it is the most fuel efficient entry level sedan taxi in India. In the new avatar, it gets a new design, better interiors and a much bigger boot space. The special thing is that this car will also be sold with CNG kit along with petrol. Its mileage is also going to be more than 32 kmpl.
Variants and Price
In this, only manual transmission option has been given with the petrol engine. It has been brought in two variants. The company has kept the price of petrol variant at Rs 6.51 lakh. While the Maruti Suzuki Tour S with CNG kit will cost you Rs 7.36 lakh (ex-showroom). The all-new Tour S sedan gets an exotic front face, stylish LED tail lamps and the signature ‘Tour S’ badging.
Engine & Mileage
It has been given a 1.2 liter K-series engine, which generates maximum power of 66kW in petrol mode and 57kW power in CNG mode. Torque output is rated at 113Nm in petrol mode and 98.5Nm in CNG mode. It returns a claimed mileage of 23.15 km/l in petrol mode and 32.12 km/kg in CNG mode.
Safety features
Safety has also been taken special care of in this car based on the fifth generation HEARTECT platform. It gets features like Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA), speed limiting system, reverse parking sensors, dual airbags. The interiors of the car are expected to feature tilt-adjustable steering wheel, manual A/C with pollen filter, front accessory sockets, ISOFIX seat anchorages and speed-sensitive door locking.
