Mizoram: On Friday, The Assam police said that three persons were arrested in two separate operations in Mizoram after drugs worth Rs 68.41 crore were seized. It said the force acted on a tip-off and raided Bualpui village in Siaha district and seized 225 grams of heroin.
Earlier on Wednesday,It said that the heroin estimated to be worth around Rs 1.75 crore, was seized and two people were arrested in connection with it.
On Thursday, in another operation, forces seized 20 packets of methamphetamine pills weighing 22.2 kg from Zokhawthar-Melbuk Road in Champhai district.
Medicines worth Rs 66.66 crore were handed over to the Excise and Narcotics Department for legal proceedings. Assam Rifles said one person has been arrested in connection with the seizure.
