Monsoon reaches Bihar, rain occurs in these 27 states, heatwave alert in 10 states

New Delhi: The Delhi-NCR area is expected to get respite from the heat even today. According to IMD, today there is a possibility of severe heat wave in some areas of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, East Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Bihar.

New Delhi: The Delhi-NCR area is expected to get respite from the heat even today. The sky will be generally cloudy and light rain or drizzle may occur. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there may be rain in Delhi today and tomorrow.

The maximum temperature in Delhi on June 19 can be 39 degree Celsius. On June 18, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 38.6 degree Celsius. According to IMD, conditions are favorable for further advance of Monsoon into some more parts of South India, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar during next 2 to 3 days.

According to the IMD, the depression formed over the central parts of South Rajasthan and adjoining areas due to the remnants of Cyclone Biparjoy has now moved eastwards. It is about 20 km south-southeast of Ajmer and 120 km from Jaipur. Centered in the southwest. It is very likely to move northeastwards and weaken by the morning of 19th June.

According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places and extremely heavy rainfall at many places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on June 19. IMD has issued a Red Alert for this.

According to IMD, today there is a possibility of severe heat wave in some areas of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, East Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Bihar. IMD has issued Orange Alert regarding this. According to the IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy rainfall may occur at many places over Assam and Meghalaya today.

The IMD has predicted heavy rain at isolated places over East Rajasthan, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, Rayalaseema, Kerala and Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal today. According to IMD, today Uttarakhand is expected to witness lightning, strong wind (wind speed of 60-70 kmph) and thundershowers at many places.

While Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, East Uttar Pradesh, Marathwada, Central Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa, Telangana It is expected to rain with strong thunderstorms, lightning and thunder.
