Deepak Saxena’s allegiance shift marks a pivotal moment, considering his past loyalty to Kamal Nath. Notably, Saxena vacated his legislative seat to facilitate Kamal Nath’s by-election victory when he assumed the CM office in 2019. Having served as PHE minister during the Digvijay Singh government, Saxena’s departure represents a significant blow to the Congress, which has already witnessed an exodus of over two thousand workers, officials, and a sitting MLA to the BJP. Saxena, who held various leadership positions within the Congress, including State Vice President and Secretary, now stands poised to align with the BJP, potentially reshaping the political dynamics in Madhya Pradesh.
