Mumbai: A fire breaks out after a blast in a transformer in Sheel Phata area of ​​Thane. As soon as the information about the fire was received, the vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot and started controlling the fire. A 35-year-old man has died in this incident.

One person is feared dead after a massive fire broke out in underground electric cables and later spread to a house in Sheel Phata area of ​​Thane city in Maharashtra on Friday morning. Officials have given this information. Avinash Sawant, head of the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), said that the incident took place at around 6.30 am. He said, “The fire broke out in underground electric wires. There was also an explosion before the fire spread to a nearby house.”

A Thane police official said, “One person is suspected to have died as he was trapped in the fire that broke out in that house.” Sawant said that on receiving the information, local fire brigade and RDMC personnel rushed to the spot. He said that the fire fighting operation is still going on and three fire tenders have been deployed in it. He told that the cause of the fire is being ascertained.

A massive fire broke out in a perfume godown late on Wednesday night in Dombivli MIDC area of ​​Thane district of Maharashtra. Avinash Sawant, the head of the local disaster management cell, said that the fire broke out at around 2 am and was completely brought under control by 8.30 am. No information has been received about any casualty.
