Mumbai Horror: Man assaulted, stripped, forced to lick shoes for theft from shop; Six arrested

In a distressing incident, as many as six people were arrested in Navi Mumbai for allegedly stripping and physically abusing a man who was accused of stealing spices from his workplace. The man was allegedly forced to lick shoes, a police official said. As per an APMC police station official, the incident took place on Wednesday, March 27, evening.

Mumbai: In a distressing incident, as many as six people were arrested in Navi Mumbai for allegedly stripping and physically abusing a man who was accused of stealing spices from his workplace. The man was allegedly forced to lick shoes, a police official said. As per an APMC police station official, the incident took place on Wednesday, March 27, evening.

The man was employed at a trading shop in APMC. He was assaulted by proprietor of the trading firm, Raunak Dayaljibhai Bhanushali, and his staff, recognised as Sanjay Chowdhary, Lalaji Babubai Pagi, Virendra Kumar Laxman Gautam, Yogesh and Karan, officials said on Thursday.

“The man was accused of stealing cardamom. He was beaten up, stripped and forced to lick the shoes of the accused Bhanushali. They also videoed the incident. Further probe is underway,” he added.
