Narendra Modi’s 5-Kilometer Roadshow Set for May 13 Ahead of Lok Sabha Election

Get ready for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s big roadshow in Varanasi! It’s happening on May 13, just before he files his nomination for the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat. The roadshow will cover a 5-kilometer path from Mahamana to Mahadev.

Narendra Modi’s 5-Kilometer Roadshow

During the roadshow, PM Modi will visit important places like the statue of Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya at Banaras Hindu University in Lanka. Then, he’ll go to the temple through the Vishwanath Corridor, passing through Sonarpura, Jangambadi, Godaulia, and Bansfatak via Assi.

Road show on this route for the second time
This marks the third time PM Modi will conduct a roadshow before nomination, with previous occurrences in 2014 and 2019, where he traditionally garlanded the statue of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. The roadshow is expected to commence around 5 pm and cover the 5-kilometer route over approximately four hours, divided into ten blocks, each overseen by MLAs and MLCs to ensure a seamless and grand welcome along the way.

Notably, the route for this year’s roadshow mirrors that of 2019, encompassing the Vishwanath Corridor to the temple via Sonarpura, Jangambadi, Godaulia, and Bansphatak via Assi.

The route of the 2014 road show was different
In contrast, the 2014 roadshow took a different route, with PM Modi’s arrival at BHU by helicopter, followed by garlanding the statue of Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya, proceeding to Kashi Vidyapeeth via helicopter, and ultimately reaching the Collectorate after garlanding the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Maldahiya intersection.

To ensure the success of the roadshow, BJP’s regional, district, and metropolitan units have convened meetings and initiated public relations efforts. Organizations, societies, and institutions are actively participating, with responsibilities allocated to various groups for welcoming arrangements along the route.

Yuva Morcha, Mahila Morcha will have the Main Responsibility
The Youth Wing and Women’s Wing are slated to play pivotal roles, with the Youth Wing coordinating bike presence at different points, while the Women’s Wing engages with women through Shakti Kendras, aiming to encourage female participation in the roadshow.
