Nepali PM Prachanda will come to India on May 31, will hold meeting with President-PM Modi

Nepal's Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda will arrive in India on a four-day visit on May 31. This will be Prachanda's first foreign tour after becoming the Prime Minister. During this, he will also have a high-level meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will be on a four-day visit to India from May 31 at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. Foreign Ministry sources here gave this information on Friday. This will be Prachanda’s first foreign trip after taking over as prime minister for the third time in December last year. Sources in the Ministry of External Affairs said that the visit would be from May 31 to May 3.

Nepali PM can also visit Madhya Pradesh after coming to India. It is being told that he will study Indore’s Waste Management System and Cleanliness Initiative. During his visit, he will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Modi and President Draupadi Murmu on June 1. During this, there can be talks on many issues between India and Nepal, including issues like energy, MLAT. ‘Prachanda’ became the Prime Minister of Nepal for the third time in December last year.

“The preparations for the visit are in final stages,” the official said. Meanwhile, Nepal’s Ambassador to India Shankar Prasad Sharma met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in New Delhi this week and discussed Prachanda’s upcoming visit.

Which agreements will be signed

Several issues including water resources, energy cooperation, trade, commerce, transit and infrastructure will be discussed during PM Prachanda’s visit to India. During this some bilateral agreements will also be signed. Nepali officials told that more than half a dozen agreements and MoUs will be signed and announced during this period. These agreements will also include a digital payment agreement. Through this, cross-border payments can be made using e-wallets. Apart from this, there will also be an agreement on the construction of bridges in Chandani-Dodhra and Jhulaghat areas across the Mahakali river in Kanchanpur and Darchula districts.
