New Zealand has taken the lead in announcing their squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, set to commence on June 2nd. Leading the charge is Kane Williamson, appointed as captain of the 15-man roster.

The Black Caps’ 15-man roster includes some notable selections and omissions. Despite his absence from the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) due to injury, Devon Conway secures a spot in the squad. Additionally, the return of all-rounder Michael Bracewell, who recently led the team in a T20 series against Pakistan after recovering from injury, adds depth to the lineup.

Adam Milne and Tim Seifert aren’t included. Devon Conway is the only wicketkeeper in the squad as he continues his recovery. Other players in the squad are Tim Southee, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, and Matt Henry.

Finn Allen, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Mark Chapman, Rachin Ravindra, Lockie Ferguson, and Jimmy Neesham are also part of the squad. Young player Ben Sears will be a reserve.

New Zealand, led by Michael Bracewell, drew against Pakistan recently. The series ended 2-2. Now, they’re preparing for the T20 World Cup.
