New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is in constant action against the supporters of Khalistan. The agency has now raided 9 locations in Haryana and Punjab. The central agency has taken action against people associated with the Khalistani organization Khalistani Tiger Force.

This organization was collecting funds to carry out terrorist activities. The agency is conducting raids regarding smuggling of arms and explosives from across the border. According to media reports, the Central Investigation Agency had registered a case on August 20 last year. Cases were registered under IPC sections.

During the investigation of this case, the agency had arrested two people from Indira Gandhi International Airport. He was a designated terrorist of Canadian origin Arshdeep Dalla and a member of the Khalistan Tiger Force. He was deported from Manila. The agency arrested him at the airport here.

The NIA had earlier conducted raids in Punjab and Haryana on May 17 as well. Raids were conducted at 58 places regarding smuggling of arms and drugs from across the border. It is said that people close to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Davinder Bambiha and Harvinder Singh Rinda, who operated from Pakistan, were involved in the raid.

The agency then simultaneously raided 125 locations in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh. Last year, the NIA had registered three cases against people involved in cross-border smuggling of arms and drugs and other activities. These include the case of RPG attack on a police station in Punjab.

For example, weapons were procured from across the border, which were used at the police station. In this case, the agency had arrested a shooter Deepak Ranga. He had contacts across the border and was involved in many violent incidents.
