Under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, smart cards are being distributed to everyone till February 4. It started on 26 January. In the last 6 days, more than 4 thousand smart cards have been distributed. Usually only 150 to 170 smart cards were sold in a day. Till now these cards were available for Rs 100, which are now being given free of cost till February 4 under a special offer.
Let us tell you that Noida Metro has decided that till February 4, smart cards will be given to the passengers for free. Not a single rupee is being charged from the passengers for Metro Smart Card. If you have not yet made a metro smart card, then take advantage of this scheme of NMRC soon.
How To Get a Smart Card?
A smart card is a prepaid card offered by the Noida Metro that travellers can use for metro commuting, without buying a token/ ticket every time they enter a station. One has to recharge the card as per their travel requirements. This smart card has a refundable fee followed by minimum balance. However, Noida Metro is now offering the smart card free of cost. Commuters can go to their nearest metro station to get this card.
Noida Metro Rail Corporation has also increased the limit of the minimum balance of Smart Card. While, Noida Metro earlier had a limit of only Rs 10 for the minimum balance on a smart card, it has now been increased to Rs 50 for entry into a Metro.
