Odisha: Four wagons of goods train derail near Ambadola in Rayagada; No casualties reported

Goods train derailed in odisha raigarh: Four coaches of a goods train derailed near Ambadola in Odisha's Raigad district on Saturday. A few days before this, 291 people had died and more than 1,100 passengers were injured in a train derailment in Balasore. The incident took place when the goods train was going from Ambadola in Kalahandi to the Vedanta plant in Lanjigarh.

Rayagada: After the Balasore train accident, once again a major accident was avoided. Four coaches of a goods train derailed on Saturday near Ambadola in Odisha’s Raigad district. A few days before this, 291 people had died and more than 1,100 passengers were injured in a train derailment in Balasore. According to reports, the incident took place when the goods train was going from Ambadola in Kalahandi to the Vedanta plant in Lanjigarh. However, there is no news of any casualty in the accident.

After the derailment of the goods train, the concerned officials reached the spot as soon as the information about the incident was received. The authorities have started investigation to find out the reason behind the derailment of the train. The incident took place at a time when Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express and an iron-laden goods train met with an accident at Bahanaga Bazar station in Balasore, Odisha.

Death toll in Balasore rises to 291
Meanwhile, the death toll in the triple train accident rose to 291 after a passenger from Bihar died at SCB Medical College Hospital. Sahil Mansoor (32) of Roshanpur in Bhagalpur district of Bihar has been identified as the passenger. According to the hospital authorities, he was undergoing treatment in the ICU of trauma care and was also suffering from a kidney-related condition. Officials told that he was also on dialysis.

13 injured are admitted in ICU
Dr. Sudhanshu Shekhar Mishra, Superintendent of SCB Medical College Hospital, said that the patient died as a result of cardiac arrest. He suffered various internal and external traumas as well as kidney problems. Mishra said that of the 205 patients admitted to the SCB Medical College Hospital, 46 are still being treated, of whom 13 are in the intensive care unit. “Of the 13 patients in the ICU, two to three remain in critical condition,” he added.Goods trains, Indian Railways, Odisha news
