America: The incident of firing has come to the fore once again in America. A person was killed and several others were wounded after multiple shots were fired at Michigan State University (MSU) campus on Tuesday.

Michigan State University police say shots were fired on campus, leaving one dead. MSU Police tweeted, “MSU ALERT: There have been shots fired near Berkey Hall on the East Lansing campus. Please secure-in-place immediately. Police are active on scene. More information to follow.”

“All campus activities are canceled for 48 hours, including athletics, classes, and all campus-related activities. Please DO NOT come to campus tomorrow,” another tweet read.

Videos shared on social media showed police officers swarming the campus following the shooting as university police said that shots were fired in two locations – near an academic building known as Berkey Hall and at an athletic facility called IM East, according to the reporte.

While more details about the shooting were not known, university police said on Twitter that shots were fired at two locations near an academic building known as Burke Hall and the IM East athletic facility. A spokeswoman for Michigan State University confirmed the death.

The Detroit News, citing Michigan State University (MSU) spokeswoman Emily Guerent, confirmed the death of one person on campus. Emily Guerent told The Detroit News that news of the death was found inside Burke Hall. Michigan State University (MSU) police said several people were reported injured in the shooting.

A suspicious person has been spotted about 90 miles northwest of Lansing, the Michigan state capital. East Lansing Police has tweeted this information. They said the suspect is a young boy and is wearing a mask. It is being told that he has been seen going on foot. Police said the athletic facility IM East has been secured.

The suspect is yet to be caught.

Michigan State University is a major US public institution of higher education whose flagship East Lansing campus accounts for 50,000 graduate and undergraduate students.
