Passenger shuttle collides with pole at Bengaluru airport, 10 injured

Bengaluru airport spokesperson said, "On June 18, 2023 at approximately 5.15 am, a shuttle bus plying between T1 and T2 of BLR airport collided with a pole near T2 arrival exit, resulting in 10 people injured ."

Bengaluru: At least 10 people were injured today when a passenger shuttle bus lost control and crashed into a pole at the Bengaluru airport. The accident took place at Kempegowda International Airport at 5.15 am today. A total of 17 people were aboard the shuttle that fell victim to the accident. Which includes 15 passengers and two crew members. A two-year-old child is also among those injured in the accident.

Bengaluru airport spokesperson said, “On June 18, 2023 at approximately 5.15 am, a shuttle bus plying between T1 and T2 of BLR airport collided with a pole near T2 arrival exit, resulting in 10 people injured In which a total of 17 passengers along with 2 crew members were aboard the bus. Those injured in the accident were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.

Kempegowda police have registered a case and are probing the accident. Airport sources have indicated that the driver may have dozed off, which led to the accident.
