Prime Minister Narendra Modi exercised his voting rights in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, as part of the third phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024. Voting is underway across 94 seats in 12 states and union territories on Tuesday, May 7. In this phase, 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat are up for grabs. PM Modi, after leaving Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar early in the morning, arrived at his designated polling booth at Nishan Higher Secondary School around 7:30 AM, where he was welcomed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
PM Modi, in a special address to the public, emphasized the significance of high voter turnout in the ongoing elections. He urged all voters participating in the third phase to cast their ballots in maximum numbers, aiming to set a new record. He emphasized the importance of achieving a record-breaking voter turnout, stating, “I urge all voters of the third phase to cast their votes in maximum numbers and set a new record. The active participation of all of you will further enhance the beauty of this festival of democracy.”
