Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in the ‘Sashakt Nari-Viksit Bharat’ program and witnessed agricultural drone demonstrations by ‘Namo Drone Didis’ at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi. Additionally, he distributed drones to 1,000 ‘Namo Drone Didis’ from 11 different locations across the nation. The initiatives aim to empower women economically, especially in rural areas, promoting financial independence.
As part of the program, PM Modi disbursed approximately Rs 8,000 crore in bank loans to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) at subsidized interest rates through Bank Linkage Camps set up by banks in each district. He also allocated around Rs 2,000 crore from the Capitalization Support Fund to SHGs.

The ‘Lakhpati Didi’ initiative, aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision, was highlighted during the event. Successful ‘Lakhpati Didis’ supported by the ‘Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission’ were felicitated. These women, who achieved financial success, play a crucial role in motivating and supporting other members of self-help groups.
In addition to the program, PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for 112 National Highway projects worth approximately Rs 1 lakh crore. The projects, spanning various states, aim to enhance connectivity and infrastructure across the country. Among the notable projects is the inauguration of the Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway, a crucial step to alleviate traffic congestion between Delhi and Gurugram on NH-48.
The Haryana section of the eight-lane Dwarka Expressway, costing around Rs 4,100 crore, includes two packages from Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) and Basai ROB to Kherki Daula. PM Modi’s visit to Gurugram will mark the inauguration and foundation laying of projects totaling Rs 20,500 crore in different states, contributing to the nation’s infrastructure development.
