Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Gorakhpur on Thursday evening to check the preparations for the arrival of PM. The entire city is decked up to welcome the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Modi will reach Gorakhpur at 2.15 pm by a special aircraft. Will go directly to Geetapress from the airport and will end the centenary celebrations of Geetapress by releasing Shivpuran and Nepali Shivmahapuran.

Gorakhpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Gorakhpur on Friday in the first phase of his two-day tour of Uttar Pradesh. Will attend the closing ceremony of the centenary year of Geetapress here. Will also address the dignitaries present. He will also flag off the Vande Bharat Express from Gorakhpur to Lucknow and also lay the foundation stone for redevelopment of the railway station and some other projects. Amid tight security arrangements, the Prime Minister will stay in Gorakhpur for 110 minutes. After this, he will leave for his parliamentary constituency Varanasi.

Will go directly to Geetapress from the airport and will end the centenary celebrations of Geetapress by releasing Shivpuran and Nepali Shivmahapuran. Will visit Leela Chitra Mandir of Geetapress and will also address the dignitaries present. The centenary celebrations were inaugurated by the then President Ram Nath Kovind on June 4 last year.

PM Modi Gorakhpur Schedule: Arrival-Departure

– Arrival at the airport at 2.15 pm

– Will reach Geetapress at 2.30

– Departure from Geetapress at 3.15 pm

– Arrival at the railway station at 3.30

– Departure from the railway station at 3.45

– Arrival at the airport at 4.00 pm

– Departure for Varanasi at 4.05 pm

From Geetapress, the Prime Minister will leave for Gorakhpur Railway Station and reach platform one. Here the Gorakhpur-Lucknow and Jodhpur-Ahmedabad Sabarmati Vande Bharat trains will be flagged off. During this, you can meet and talk to school children in the train. After inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of several projects including the redevelopment of Gorakhpur Junction, he will leave for the airport at quarter past four.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who reached Gorakhpur on Thursday evening, took stock of the preparations for the security and reception of the Prime Minister by reaching Geetapress and railway station. After observing the list of visitors, reached Gorakhnath temple and talked with the officials on every aspect. Earlier, the PM’s fleet was rehearsed under the direction of the SPG, in which the officers of the administration along with the security personnel were present on their assigned duties.

In view of security, during the stay of the Prime Minister, a radius of three kilometers of Gita Press and Railway Station will remain a no-flying zone. There will also be a ban on flying balloons and kites. Snipers including anti drone guns have also been deployed. More than three thousand soldiers are deployed in security. People sitting preparing to shower flowers on the PM will be able to do so only from across the barricading.

Preparation to welcome Prime Minister at 165 places

The BJP has made preparations to welcome the Prime Minister at 65 places from the airport to Geetapress and railway station. The echo of Modi-Modi will be heard amidst the rain of flowers at various places in the city. The enthusiasm is such that on Thursday itself, before the arrival of the PM, the city looked completely Modimaya. Hoardings and flex boards have been installed on the entire route to welcome the PM.

Geetapress and Railway management were also busy giving final touches to the preparations throughout the day. Administration, Municipal Corporation, GDA were also engaged in making the city shine. The aura of the banks of Ramgarhtal is also visible.
