New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)’s anniversary celebrations in New Delhi on Monday. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) issued a statement on Sunday and gave this information. According to the statement, during the program a ceremony will be organized for the recipients of President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and CBI’s Best Investigating Officer Gold Medal.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will present medals to the officers.Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the diamond jubilee celebrations of the CBI on April 3 at 12 noon at Vigyan Bhawan, it said. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate newly constructed office premises of CBI in Shillong, Pune and Nagpur. He will also release a postage stamp and commemorative coin marking the Diamond Jubilee year of CBI.
On the occasion of the foundation day of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the party MPs virtually in Parliament on April 6. The party has asked all its MPs to be present in Parliament on April 6. Last year too, BJP organized a similar program for its MPs in Parliament. This day marks the 43rd foundation day of BJP and the party has organized various programs from the booth level itself.
The CBI made its maiden appearance on Twitter in October last year during the Interpol General Assembly when a handle with the coveted blue tick was launched to propagate news about the event. The CBI was established by a resolution of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India dated April 1, 1963.
