The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Karnataka Police has summoned Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna and his father, senior JD(S) leader HD Revanna, for questioning regarding an alleged sex scandal case. The father-son duo had previously been booked for sexual harassment, stalking, intimidation, and outraging the dignity of a woman based on a complaint by a woman who worked in Revanna’s house.
The case was referred to the SIT, led by BK Singh, Additional Director-General of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, after several explicit videos involving Prajwal Revanna circulated online.
HD Revanna Summoned by Probe Team in Karnataka Sex Tapes Case. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has demanded a detailed report from the Karnataka Police within three days regarding the allegations against Prajwal Revanna. The NCW expressed serious concern over the circulation of objectionable videos allegedly showing Prajwal Revanna involved in sexual misconduct with numerous women.
Prajwal Revanna is reported to have left the country after the second phase of Lok Sabha polls in Karnataka on April 26. The NCW questioned the decision to allow Revanna to leave despite the complaint and the lack of police action or arrest.
Prajwal Revanna, the NDA candidate from Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, was suspended from the JD(S) amid the controversy over the explicit videos.
HD Revanna has expressed willingness to cooperate with any investigation into the allegations against him and his son. He stated that they are prepared to face legal action if the charges are proven.
Amid allegations of political motives behind the issue, the elder son of JD(S) patriarch HD Deve Gowda affirmed that Prajwal Revanna would cooperate with the probe whenever required.
