Rajasthan Budget Highlights 2023: Free 2-wheeler, Free electricity and more

Rajasthan: Making a huge announcement in the last budget of his third term in the Rajasthan Assembly, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has increased the insurance amount from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 25 lakh in the Chiranjeevi scheme.

At the same time, EWS families will be brought under the purview of this scheme. At the same time, Gehlot announced that 76 lakh families got LPG cylinders under the Ujjwala scheme of the central government, but those 76 lakh families who could not buy again, will be given LPG cylinders for Rs 500 in the coming year.

The CM said that our government will give 100 units of free electricity to all domestic consumers from next year. On the other hand, the families associated with the Mahatma Gandhi Guarantee Scheme will get one thousand rupees each under the Mahatma Gandhi Minimum Pension Scheme.

Chief Minister Free Annapurna Food Packet Scheme

Chief Minister Gehlot announced that Chief Minister Free Annapurna Food Packet Scheme will be started every month for 1 crore NFSA families of the state. Under this scheme, 1-1 kg pulses, sugar, salt, 1 liter edible oil and spices will be made available in the packet, on which the state government will bear the expenditure of Rs 3000 crore.

Announcement for Gig workers

According to the CM’s announcement, Gig Workers Welfare Act will be brought for the social security of the employees of companies like Ola, Uber, Swiggy, Zomato and Amazon. For such workers, a Gig Workers Fund will be created under the Gig Workers Act, for which an amount of Rs 200 crore has been announced. At the same time, it has been announced to give government jobs to children orphaned due to Corona when they become adults.

125 days employment will be available in cities

On the other hand, under the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme, now everyone in the cities will be given 125 days of employment. The Chief Minister said that by writing a letter to the PM, he has proposed to bring all the social security schemes on one platform. At the same time, the CM urged the Prime Minister to implement ops in all areas. At the same time, the social security pension will be increased by 15% every year in the state.

Big announcement on Chiranjeevi Health Scheme

The Chief Minister announced that now the insurance amount per family will be increased to Rs 25 lakh under the Chiranjeevi Health Scheme. Gehlot told that at present one crore 38 lakh families have been given free medical benefit of Rs 10 lakh under the Chiranjeevi Yojana and now from next year the insurance amount per family has been increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 2500000 under the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Scheme.

At the same time, all the EWS families will also be given the benefit of the Chiranjeevi scheme. According to CM’s announcement, till now insurance cover of 500000 was given under Chiranjeevi scheme, which has been increased from 5 lakh to 10 lakh now.

Domestic electricity up to 100 units free

The CM announced that under the Chief Minister’s Free Electricity Scheme, free electricity will be given to consumers who use up to 100 units per month in the coming year. At the same time, the CM said that 15 lakh other domestic consumers will continue to get electricity rebate of up to Rs 300 per month.
Gehlot said that it is our aim to strengthen the position of power companies and our aim is to provide free electricity to the consumers consuming up to 300 units.

Gifts for youth

CM Gehlot announced that there will be no fee for all recruitment examinations for youth in Rajasthan and a special task force will be formed for incidents like paper leak. On the other hand, Gehlot announced that a one-time fee will be charged for all recruitment examinations and 100 job fairs will be organized in government college campuses.

On the other hand, Gehlot said that APJ Abdul Kalam Institute of Biotechnology will be established in Jaipur, which will cost 300 crores.

At the same time, to provide financial support to the youth, a fellowship of ₹ 20000 per month will be given for research work. On the other hand, proposing to bring a new youth policy to increase communication skills among the youth, a Youth Development Welfare Board worth Rs 500 crore will be constituted.
