Rajasthan election 2023: Congress releases first list of 33 candidates, Pilot to contest from Tonk

Rajasthan: On Saturday, The Congress High Command has released the first list of candidates in Rajasthan for the Rajasthan Assembly Elections 2023. The party has named a total of 33 candidates in the first list. The names of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot are also included in this list.

Rajasthan: On Saturday, The Congress High Command has released the first list of candidates in Rajasthan for the Rajasthan Assembly Elections 2023. The party has named a total of 33 candidates in the first list.The names of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot are also included in this list.

According to the list of candidates released by the party, Gehlot has been nominated from his constituency Sardarpura. Pilot will contest elections from Tonk where he is the current MLA. Congress Speaker C.P. Joshi has been nominated from his current constituency Nathdwara and Krishna Poonia from Sadulpur.

State Congress Committee president Govind Singh Dotasara has been given a ticket from Lachhmangarh where he is currently the MLA. The first list of Congress also includes the names of some ministers from Rajasthan. Bhanwar Singh Bhati has been nominated from Kolayat, Mahendrajit Malviya from Bagidora, Tikaram Juli from Alwar Gramin and Mamta Bhupesh from Sikrai.

Four members of Sachin Pilot camp had got a ticket in the first list. Bhupesh from the Sikrai-SC seat. Notification will be issued on 30th October. Nomination can be done till 6th November. Nomination papers will be scrutinized on November 7. 9th November is the last date of withdrawal of name. Voting will be held on November 25, while the results will be out on December 3. A while ago, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its second list of 83 candidates for Rajasthan. There are a total of 200 Assembly seats in the state.
