Ayodhya : The Vedic rituals heralding the Pran-Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya kick off today, marking the commencement of a week-long spiritual extravaganza. The Pran-Pratishtha for ‘Ram Lalla’ at the newly constructed Ram Janmabhoomi Temple is scheduled for January 22, making this an auspicious and highly anticipated event.

Seven Days of Sacred Observance


The pre-Pran Pratishtha or consecration rituals will unfold over seven days, starting on today January 16 and concluding on January 21. The culminating moment of the pran-prathistha ceremony will take place on January 22, aligning with the Paush Shukla Kurmadwadashi in the Vikram Samvat 2080 calendar.

Scriptural Precision and Auspicious Timings>
The ceremonies will adhere to Shaastriya (scriptural) protocols, with the Praan-Pratistha of Ram Lalla set to occur during the ‘Abhijeet Muhurta’ in the afternoon. This meticulous approach reflects the reverence and precision accorded to this sacred occasion.

A Comprehensive Seven-Day Schedule


January 16: Prayaschita and Karmakuti Poojan
January 17: Parisar Pravesh of the Murti
January 18 (Evening): Teerth Poojan, Jal Yatra, Jalaadhivas, and Gandhadhivas
January 19 (Morning): Aushadhadhivas, Kesaradhivas, Ghritadhivas, and Dhanyaadhivas (evening)
January 20 (Morning): Sharkaradhivas, Phalaadhivas, and Pushpaadhivas (evening)
January 21 (Morning): Madhyaadhivas and Shayyadhivas (evening)
Rituals and Acharyas

A total of 121 Acharyas will perform the rituals, with Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid overseeing and coordinating the proceedings. Lakshmi Kant Dixit of Kashi will take on the pivotal role of the principal Acharya. The rituals will follow the traditional Seven Adhivaasas in the Pran Pratistha ceremony, a practice deeply rooted in spiritual customs.

Inclusive Traditions and Distinguished Guests


Representatives from various traditions, including Shaiva, Vaishnav, Shaakta, Sikh, Jain, and more, will be present to witness the historic Pran-Pratishtha ceremony. Distinguished guests, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, will grace the occasion.

National and Global Participation


Over 7,000 invitees, including cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, and Virat Kohli, as well as Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, and industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, are expected to attend this grand celebration.
