New Delhi: Rajasthan has faced a bad defeat at home. Gujarat defeated Rajasthan by nine wickets in the match played at Sawaiman Singh Stadium. The Rajasthan team did not stand anywhere in front of Gujarat in this match. Gujarat had stopped Rajasthan for 118 runs in 17.5 overs on the basis of the brilliant performance of their bowlers. After this, the current winner achieved this target by losing one wicket in 13.5 overs. Wriddhiman Saha scored 41 not out for Gujarat, Captain Hardik Pandya scored 39 not out off 15 balls.

For the Royals, Yuzvendra Chahal was the only one who took a wicket. Earlier, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and batted first. Their star batters Buttler and Jaiswal were sent to the pavilion early in the innings as Buttler departed after scoring just 8 runs while Jaiswal, who was the star with the bat against Mumbai Indians. could only score 14 runs. It was skipper Sanju Samson who played a few attractive shots but then he was dismissed after adding 30 runs off 20 balls and as a result, Rajasthan batters were restricted to just 118 runs.

It was Gujarat’s spinners who wreaked havoc with the ball as out of nine wickets of Rajasthan batters, 5 wickets were taken by the spinners. Rashid Khan was the main troublemaker as he scalped three wickets and gave away just 14 runs. He was followed by Noor Ahmed who took 2 wickets and Shami also picked up 2 wickets. As far as the points table is concerned, Gujarat Titans are still at the tip position with 14 points while Rajasthan are the fourth spot with 10 points.
