Salman Khan Firing Case: Both bike-borne shooters arrested from Gujarat’s Bhuj, says Mumbai cop

Salman Khan Firing Case: Both bike-borne shooters arrested from Gujarat’s Bhuj, says Mumbai cop

Mumbai: Mumbai Crime Branch has achieved major success in the case of firing at the residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Police arrested two accused involved in this incident from Bhuj, Gujarat on Monday. The accused have been identified as 24-year-old Vicky Saheb Gupta and 21-year-old Sagar Shrijogendra Pal of Masihi in West Champaran district of Bihar.

According to the information, both the accused involved in the firing incident that took place outside Salman Khan’s house in Bandra, Mumbai on Sunday, have been arrested by the police in Bhuj district of Gujarat and they will be brought to Mumbai this morning.

The police said the two arrested individuals will be brought to Mumbai for further investigation.

In fact, around 5 am on Sunday morning, two people riding a bike fired four rounds outside Galaxy Apartment in Bandra and fled from the spot. Police had told that Salman Khan was present at his house when the firing took place. No one was injured or died in the incident.

The Mumbai Crime Branch described the incident as a “meticulously planned attack”, with the CCTV camera footage showing one of the suspects firing towards the residence of Salman Khan.

Officials found that after the firing, the accused had left their bike near a church, walked some distance and took an autorickshaw to reach Bandra Railway Station. They then boarded a train to Santa Cruz station, and hired another auto-rickshaw to go further. Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol Bishnoi had taken responsibility for this incident in a social media post.

The incident prompted rapid action by the Mumbai Police, with ten teams of the crime branch deployed outside Galaxy Apartments.

Following the incident, Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde spoke to Salman Khan over the phone regarding the incident. CM Shinde also discussed with the Mumbai Police Commissioner and suggested increasing the actor’s security.

Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and wanted gangster Goldie Brar have announced many times to kill Salman Khan. According to sources, Bishnoi and Brar had sent their shooters to Mumbai to kill the actor. Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang is reportedly targeting Salman Khan because of the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Black deer are considered sacred in the Bishnoi community.
