Patna : Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai’s convoy going from East Champaran to Patna in Bihar has been attacked. A person attacked two vehicles in the minister’s convoy with a stick. Due to this, the glasses of both the vehicles were broken. At the same time, a person involved in the convoy was seriously injured. This incident is of Saturday evening. Police has taken the attacker Amit Shah into custody from the spot. Amit Shah, a resident of Lakhnauri village, who attacked is said to be mentally unwell.
It is being told that as soon as Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai’s convoy reached Bishunpur Saraiya Chowk from Sahebganj on its way to Patna from Sarotar in East Champaran, Amit thrashed him with a stick. The car of the Minister of State for Home passed out, but the glasses of two vehicles running in the convoy were damaged. During this the convoy did not stop. And Minister Nityanand Rai reached Patna safely.
In a hurry, accused Amit Shah was taken into custody and interrogated. It was found that he is mentally deranged. Deoria police station chief Uday Kumar Singh confirmed the incident. He told that no written complaint has been received regarding this incident, but the police is investigating the matter at its own level.
