Setback for AAP in Karnataka: Ex-Bengaluru top cop, Party Vice-President Bhaskar Rao joins BJP

Bengaluru: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suffered a setback ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Karnataka. Former Bengaluru Police Commissioner and AAP leader Bhaskar Rao has quite his party. Along with this, Bhaskar Rao has joined the ruling party of the state, BJP. Rao’s decision to quit AAP comes at a time when party’s national convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to visit Karnataka on March 4 where he will address a rally in Davanagere.

Bhaskar Rao joined the BJP on March 1. During this, BJP state president Nalin Kumar Katil was also present with him. Addressing reporters, Bhaskar Rao also targeted AAP. He said that there is lack of transparency in AAP. It is run like a multinational corporation. Donations are collected in the name of fighting corruption. Shame on AAP ministers going to jail.

Bhaskar Rao also said that the development of AAP cannot happen now. The entire party is in the hands of a group. There is a lack of clarity in the party. Bhaskar also said that the jailing of two AAP ministers is shameful.

Bhaskar Rao said that he is very inspired by PM Modi. He said that he joined BJP after seeing the works of PM. I think I can contribute more to BJP. PM Modi’s vision inspired me to join the party. Let us know that Bhaskar Rao joined AAP 11 months ago on April 4 last year. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal gave party membership to Bhaskar Rao.
