Eight hours long video shown in court

During the hearing in the court, the government lawyer showed the judge an eight-hour long CCTV video, in which the former minister is seen beating his wife badly. The video also showed 44-year-old Kuandik beating his 31-year-old wife with his hands and fists. After this, the former minister is seen dragging his wife Saltanat Nukenova by her hair and taking her to the room where there was no camera.

The government lawyer said during the hearing that when Nukenova tried to hide in the toilet, Bishimbayev broke down the door and took his wife out and continued beating her. She further said that after coming out of the toilet, Bishimbayev strangled Nukeynova, causing her to lose consciousness.

As she fell to the floor, covered in blood, Bishimbayev called the fortuneteller, who assured Nukenova of a happy future. After 12 hours of this incident, the ambulance reached the spot and declared the former minister’s wife dead on the spot itself.
