Sudarsan Pattnaik Creates 56-Foot-Long Sand Art to Extend Best Wishes to Team India for the World Cup Final

World-renowned sand artist from Odisha, Sudarsan Pattnaik, has crafted a 56-foot-long sand sculpture of the World Cup trophy with the message “Good Luck Team India” at Puri Beach.

Using around 500 steel bowls and 300 cricket balls, Sudarsan Pattnaik, along with students from his sand art Institute, created a 56-foot-long sand sculpture of the World Cup trophy. The entire process took approximately 6 hours to complete.

Sudarsan Pattnaik mentioned, “We have crafted this special sand art installation to extend our best wishes to Team India for the final match against Australia, taking place in Gujarat.”

India is gearing up to clash with Australia in the much-anticipated final match of the ICC World Cup 2023 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.

India, the host nation of the tournament, has triumphed in all ten of its matches, securing nine victories in the league stage and comfortably overcoming New Zealand in the semi-finals in Mumbai to advance to the World Cup final.

Rohit Sharma‘s team will square off against Australia in the final showdown, with the five-time champions securing their place by defeating South Africa in a tense second semi-final at Eden Gardens on Thursday.

India, the tournament hosts, have previously clinched the Men’s Cricket World Cup twice in their history – first in 1983 in the UK and more recently in 2011 on home soil.
