Rameswaram: An official said that a massive fire broke out in a fishing boat anchored at Pamban, Rameswaram an early hours on Sunday. The incident took place on the fourth floor of the mall, close to the food court area. After receiving information about this incident officials and fire tenders reached on the spot.
The photographs showed that the boat turned into a ball of fire soon after catching the flames. According to the information, official said that four fire tenders were deployed to douse the flame. A mechanical pump was used to blow out the smoke.
According to the report, people present inside the mall and movie theater were immediately evacuated through emergency exits. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. However, There were no casualties in the incident.
