Tamil Nadu’s Adhinam Mahant handed over Sengol to PM Narendra Modi

Sengol will be installed near the Lok Sabha Speaker's seat in the new Parliament House. The construction area of the triangular four-storey building of the new Parliament House is 64,500 sqm. There are three main gates of this building – Gyan Dwar, Shakti Dwar and Karma Dwar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met saints and seers at his residence ahead of the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House and sought their blessings. Adhinam handed over Sengol to Prime Minister Modi. 21 activists from Tamil Nadu met the PM at his residence. Tell that tomorrow the new Parliament House will be inaugurated.

Chanting was done while handing over Sengol to PM Modi. At the same time, PM Modi also honored Mahant Adhinam by blowing a shawl. During this, apart from PM Modi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was also present. It is made of five feet long silver. Gold layer has been plated in it. This Sengol will be purified with holy water before being installed.

Sengol will be installed near the Lok Sabha Speaker’s seat in the new Parliament House. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, among others, are expected to be present during the formal inauguration of the new complex. The construction area of the triangular-shaped four-storey Parliament House is 64,500 square meters. There are three main gates of this building – Gyan Dwar, Shakti Dwar and Karma Dwar.

Sengol is 5 feet tall

A day before this, exclusive pictures of Sengol were also revealed. This sengol made of 5 feet long silver has been plated with gold. Nandi is sitting on its upper part and flags are made on it. There is also something written below them in Tamil language. Actually, after being brought from Prayagraj recently, it was kept in the museum of Delhi. This Sengol was built in 1947.

PM Modi shared the video

Many opposition parties have announced to boycott the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House to be held on 28 May 2023. Sharing the video of the new campus, the PM wrote, ‘Many people are expressing their happiness on #MyParliamentMyPride. Through a very emotional voiceover, he expresses his sense of pride that our country is getting a new Parliament, which will continue to work with more enthusiasm to fulfill the aspirations of the people.
