Telangana gas leak: Domestic gas pipeline leak causes fire that injures 12 people in Rangareddy

Rangareddy: Tragedy strikes after a domestic gas pipeline leakage in the RGIA Police Station area in Telangana’s Rangareddy on Thursday injured over 12 people after a fire broke out due to the leak in the pipe. Visuals from sources show the injured being evacuated to nearby hospitals.

In Hyderabad, over 15 workers died in a cooking gas cylinder explosion at famous Karachi Bakery godown on Thursday. Following the incident, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy expressed his shock. He also directed officials to provide better medical treatment for the injured.

Eight of the injured were swiftly taken to DRDO Hospital in Kanchanbagh after the incident, even as the cause of it is still unclear. Six of the 15 are said to be in a serious condition.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy took to X to express his disturbance over the mishap. “Chief Minister Revanth Anumula has expressed shock over the incident of fire in Karachi Bakery Godown. Officials told the CM that most of the injured were workers from Uttar Pradesh. CM Revanth Reddy ordered the concerned authorities to immediately provide better medical treatment to the 15 workers who were injured in the accident (sic),” Telangana CMO wrote.

Earlier, a fire broke out at Indus Hospital located at Jagadamba Junction in Vishakapatnam on Thursday morning. The patients who were receiving treatment at the hospital were immediately shifted to nearby hospital. Till now, no deaths have been reported.
