TMC leader Mukul Roy made a big announcement on Tuesday saying that he is going to join the BJP. This decision of Mukul Roy is being considered as a big blow for Trinamool Congress and Mamta Banerjee. He said that he has come to Delhi on his own free will and is currently present in Delhi only. Mukul Roy said that he would meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda. In fact, before the last assembly elections, Roy was one of the top BJP leaders in Bengal and also became an MLA. But he joined the Trinamool after the party failed to come to power.

On Monday, Roy’s son Subhranshu spoke about his disappearance. He had said that Roy was about to take a night flight to Delhi, but there was no trace of him. He also talked about his father’s mental condition not being well and accused the BJP of doing dirty politics regarding his ailing father. Subhranshu claimed that Roy had undergone brain surgery last month and was unable to even recognize family members and close ones. Regarding this, Roy said, I am completely healthy. Till now I could not do politics completely but now I am physically fit and will do politics. He also asked his son to join BJP for the sake of the family.

Mukul Roy on Tuesday night said that he is still a BJP MLA and would like to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah as he is keen to return to the BJP. “I am a BJP MLA. I want to stay with the BJP. The party has made arrangements for my stay here. I want to meet Amit Shah and (party president) JP Nadda,” Roy told a Bengali news channel late night. want to talk.”
