Lucknow: There was a lot of uproar in the Vidhan Sabha today in connection with the shooting of Umesh Pal, the main witness of Prayagraj’s famous Raju Pal murder case, and his security guard Sandeep Nishad on Friday evening. Responding to this, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that there will be agreement and disagreement but who increased the criminals? These criminals and mafia, after all, by whom have they been brought up? Is it not true that the person against whom FIR is lodged was made MP by SP? Earlier, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav had said that in Uttar Pradesh, this government has completely failed due to firing, bombing and looking like a gang war. Is this Ramrajya, where guns are being fired openly? Police is a complete failure and BJP is responsible for this.
At one point, the Chief Minister also told Mr Yadav “sharam toh tumhe karni chahiye, apne baap ki samman nahi kar paye tum (you should be ashamed, you couldn’t respect even your father)”, in reference to a falling out between the Samajwadi Party leader and his father Mulayam Singh Yadav.
The fiery exchange was sparked by the opposition’s questions about the killing of a witness in the murder case of a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA who was shot dead in Prayagraj on Friday. The attack was caught on multiple CCTV cameras.
Yogi Adityanath said that the way some people tried to tear Ramcharit Manas, what would have been the situation if this had happened to any other religion? Does it mean whoever wants to insult Hindus? Do you want to humiliate the whole society?
Let us tell you that Raju Pal was the MLA of Bahujan Samaj Party and he was murdered in 2005. Umesh Pal was the main witness of that murder case. The main accused in Raju Pal’s murder is mafia Atiq Ahmed, who is lodged in a jail in Gujarat.
According to sources, the police has also questioned Atiq Ahmed’s wife Shaista Parveen in this matter. A dozen including Atiq’s two sons are being interrogated in police custody. Along with this, the police is keeping an eye on many shooters of Atiq Ahmed gang. There is a possibility of involvement of shooters of Purvanchal in this incident. The appearance of one of the shooters seen in the CCTV footage matches with the local shooter.
