The Uttarakhand government has declared a nine-day cultural festival, commencing from the Uttarayen festival on January 14 and concluding with the Shri Ram Murti Pran Pratishtha program in Ayodhya on January 22, in anticipation of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla. The government’s instructions to district magistrates include organizing events such as Kalash Yatra, tableaux, Deepotsav, Aarti, and religious programs, involving public participation and the collaboration of various community groups.

The order emphasizes the formation of committees at the district and development block levels to ensure the active involvement of Mahila Mangal Dal, Yuvak Mangal Dal, and self-help groups in cultural celebrations. Additionally, a special cleanliness campaign is mandated for monasteries, temples, and bathing ghats across the state. Urban bodies, district panchayats, development blocks, gram panchayats, social organizations, self-help groups, Mahila Mangal Dals, Yuvak Mangal Dals, schools, colleges, and the public are encouraged to participate.

Uttarakhand govt Announces 9-Day Festival Ahead of Pran Pratishtha Ceremony. The Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya will span seven days, beginning on January 16. Key events include the atonement ceremony, ‘Dashvidh’ bath, Vishnu worship, offering to cows, a procession carrying the idol of Ram Lalla, formal rituals, Ganesh Ambika puja, Varun puja, Matrika puja, Brahmin Varan, Vastu puja, holy fire lighting, establishment of ‘Navagraha,’ ‘havan,’ sanctum sanctorum washing, Vaastu Shanti, ‘Annadhivas’ rituals, idol bathing, and consecration in ‘Mrigashira Nakshatra.’ The celebrations aim to mark the historic occasion with devotion and cultural fervor.
