In a relentless effort to combat illegal constructions associated with mafia-linked politician Mukhtar Ansari, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has taken decisive action. The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) executed the demolition of the New FI Hospital on January 5, owned by Siraj Ahmed, reportedly a close associate of Ansari.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the LDA to dismantle the illegal properties connected to Ansari’s aide, marking yet another display of the state’s commitment to tackling organized crime. The demolition, carried out under the watchful eyes of top LDA officials and the police, targeted a structure that had been unlawfully constructed, lacking the necessary approvals.

This recent action follows the earlier sealing of the New FI Hospital on December 25, owned by Siraj Ahmed. The LDA, in its continued crackdown, initiated the demolition of illegal structures in the parking area of the FI Tower, another property owned by Ahmed.
The LDA’s decisive move came after issuing a notice declaring two floors of the FI Tower as illegal, comprising 24 flats and one penthouse, and highlighting violations of building norms in the New FI Hospital.

The demolition operation was conducted with tight security measures, with LDA Vice-Chairman Indramani Tripathi overseeing the process personally. Additionally, an FIR has been registered against Ahmed and his associates, Shoaib Iqbal, Monis Iqbal, and Michael, at the Kaiserbagh police station for violating building norms. While Monis Iqbal has already been apprehended and imprisoned, authorities are actively pursuing Siraj Ahmed and Michael.
Tripathi affirmed, “The crackdown on illegally constructed buildings will continue as per the rules. This action is part of our drive against such construction, ensuring strict adherence to regulations.” The Yogi government’s unwavering stance against illegal constructions is evident in its persistent efforts to uphold the law and dismantle structures built without proper authorization.
