The 50th India International Knit Fair, organized by the India Knit Fair Association (IKFA), is set to take place in Tiruppur from October 12 to 14. This significant event, held in collaboration with the Apparel Export Promotion Council and the Tiruppur Exporters’ Association, focuses on the theme “Active & Sportswear, Environmental Social Governance, Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Digitalization.”
A. Sakthivel, the Chairman of the Association, announced that IKFA has established partnerships with key organizations, including the Sourcing Consultants Association, Association of Buying Agents for Textiles, Brand Sourcing Leaders, and the NIFT Alumni. Curtain raiser events have already been conducted in Delhi, with expectations of over 100 sourcing and liaison consultants attending the fair. Several prominent buying houses have also confirmed their participation.
The exhibition will span over 14,000 square feet and feature nearly 70 exhibitors from regions including Tiruppur, Chennai, Coimbatore, Karur, and even Gujarat. To explore opportunities in man-made fiber (MMF) products, a dedicated space will be allocated.
A notable highlight of the event is the “I talks” (Impact Talks) platform, where leading brands, sourcing consultants, and buyers will share their experiences and insights with exhibitors. Fashion shows are scheduled for October 12 and 13, showcasing trends and collections in the realms of active wear and sportswear.
The inauguration of the fair will be officiated by Rachna Shah, Secretary of the Union Ministry of Textiles. This event promises to be a significant gathering for the textile industry, facilitating discussions, innovations, and the exploration of new opportunities in the ever-evolving world of knitwear and fashion.
