9 students and teacher of Uttar Pradesh primary school infected with Chickenpox

Lucknow: Nine students and a teacher of a government primary school at Govindpur village in the district's Sohaon development block have been found infected with chickenpox, doctors said on Sunday.

Lucknow: Nine students and a teacher of a government primary school at Govindpur village in the district’s Sohaon development block have been found infected with chickenpox. A CHC doctor has given this information on Sunday.

Speaking on the matter, Superintendent of Community Health Center (CHC) Narhi, Dr. Saket Bihari Sharma said on Sunday that nine children of the primary school of Govindpur village of Sohaon development block have been affected by chickenpox.

Block Education Officer Lalji has also confirmed that assistant teacher of the school, Vivek Kumar, has also been infected with the disease. According to school sources, some children who came to Govindpur Primary School on February 2 had red spots on their faces.

School sources said some of the children began displays symptoms, including red spots on the face, a few days ago. Sharma said that on Friday, information was received from the school about children being infected with chickenpox. After this, along with distribution of medicines, the health department team has started other efforts for treatment and prevention.
