Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J P Nadda arrived in Kolkata in the early hours of Tuesday to deliberate on the party’s strategy for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The senior BJP leaders are set to evaluate the organizational preparedness in West Bengal and conduct a series of meetings throughout the day.

Having reached Kolkata airport around 12:45 am, Shah and Nadda will preside over various organizational sessions, signaling the commencement of preparations for the parliamentary polls. BJP MLA Manoj Tigga affirmed that central leaders, including the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister, and the party president, will intensify their visits to the state in the coming days.

Amit Shah and JP Nadda Convene in Kolkata for 2024 Lok Sabha Polls.The BJP’s West Bengal president, Sukanta Majumdar, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Suvendu Adhikari, and MP Dilip Ghosh were among the state leaders present at the airport to welcome Shah and Nadda.

In the morning, the Home Minister and the BJP chief will visit Gurudwara Bara Sikh Sangat and the Kalighat temple. Subsequently, they will engage in a series of meetings with state functionaries and frontal organizations to assess the party’s organizational strength ahead of the general elections.

Later in the evening, the two leaders will participate in a closed-door program at the National Library before departing for New Delhi. The visit marks a crucial step in formulating the BJP’s comprehensive strategy for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
